Cut vendor security assessment effort from 15 hours to at most 7.5
EY performs security checks on a government department's third-party vendors. Redesigned the assessment process, introduced templates, and designed agents and subagents to assist on the tasks where they made sense, cutting processing effort from 15 hours to at most 7.5.
Built on Microsoft 365 Copilot because the budget was very low and it was already available at no extra cost. The platform's limits had to be worked around by hand: poor Software Development Lifecycle support (no real version control, no separation of dev and prod, limited testing, no change logs), rigid capability and workflow with limited customisation, and a product that changed constantly with poor support for user-developed tools.
